In Marans, the restaurants are generally located towards the heart of the city, namely along the Sèvre Niortaise. All gathered in the same place, it is sometimes difficult to choose the right table. At Rev' Goch, you can enjoy simple but particularly effective and tasty cuisine. The plates are generous, with excellent value for money, as well as a top-notch welcome! A great discovery while strolling along the banks of the water!
A menu updated by season, fresh vegetables on the plates, a friendly setting surrounded by boats... This small establishment of traditional cuisine, opened in 2020, did not experience the beginnings expected by Emilie Charron, Tiphaine and Thierry Bastard. Indeed, the acquisition of this restaurant a month before the Covid period forced them to adapt and build a clientele through take-out sales. It was therefore only a few months later that the establishment was able to welcome its first customers on the table.
But let's get to the heart of the matter! After a hesitant order taking due to various temptations, my choice fell on a salmon tartare to start. Visually and tastefully, no disappointment: the fish is well prepared, tangy as it should be, accompanied by lumpfish eggs which add texture and color to the plate. All served chilled with a glass of iced grenadine, a little personal touch to keep the dish cool in addition to recalling the main color chart of the establishment, red.
To stay in a fish-eating mood, I then opted for the curried cod, accompanied by a local product: pineau. The latter slightly softening the taste of the curry, and accompanied by new potatoes with crispy skin, in other words, the flavors were there. My companion, for her part, leaned towards the house burger. Lovers of fried onions, you can't miss this! Served on a chopper-shaped board, this generous sandwich garnished with its excellent multi-grain bread delighted our taste buds (because yes, I dared to taste his dish).

After an hour's meal, with a full belly and after a little discussion with Tiphaine, it was time to leave this red-checkered table that reminded me of the tablecloths at Grandma's. With so many flavors to delight the taste buds, generosity for the stomach and visuals to delight the eyes, I might as well say that my next visit will probably not be that far!
