scarecrow contest

The Com'Art Association of Surgères is organizing a scarecrow competition open to all!
Give free rein to your imagination and create the scarecrow of your dreams: free theme and open to all types of materials.
Limited places, by reservation.

You can choose the theme freely and your scarecrow can, at your convenience, be repulsive, joyful, inventive, poetic, musical, or other...
It will be made with the materials of your choice, materials that you have to
your disposition. The only constraint for the construction is that of relative solidity to prevent it from being destroyed at the first gust of wind. It must have a base that can be pushed into the ground or a seat that stabilizes it so that this beautiful scarecrow can stand upright.

The scarecrow competition is open to all, adults/children, both in
group or individual and whether or not you live in Surgères.
The jury will choose several achievements which will be awarded and the prize list will be
announced at the end of the Nature Festival, Saturday May 25, 2024, around 17 p.m.
You can regain possession of your scarecrow or it will be
offered to gardeners the same evening. Your work could thus be useful well beyond the competition.
