As part of the European Heritage Days, the town of Surgères offers free activities for all ages, giving you the opportunity to (re)discover the local heritage: guided tours, games, creative workshops, exhibition...
Saturday 17 September:
-From 9 a.m. to 16 p.m.: Exhibition proposed by the Society of Natural and Human Sciences of Surgères on the Place de l'Europe. Free access.
-From 9 a.m. to 16 p.m.: Workshops "Materials and heritage trades" offered by l'Outil en main in the park of the castle (next to the media library). Free access.
-At 10 a.m.: Unusual visit to the church of Surgères led by Jean-François Flies, meeting in front of the access staircase to the park of the Château. Free access.
-At 11 a.m.: Story time, hosted by Anne-Claire. For children from 4 years old at the Surgères municipal media library.
-At 14 p.m.: Sensory visit of the castle park led by Diane Simon (DS à la carte). Meet in front of the drawbridge. Mandatory reservation.
-At 15 p.m.: "Birds and buildings", a walk followed by a nest box construction workshop, led by Nature Environnement 30. Meet at the castle park (in front of the Tool in hand stand, next to the library). Mandatory reservation.
Sunday 18 September:
-From 10 a.m. to 16 p.m.: Opening of the towers of the ramparts in the castle park. Free access visits.
-From 10 a.m. to 16 p.m.: Games around heritage: photo rally, puzzles, coloring, for families in the castle park. Free access.
-At 15 p.m.: Show "On the paths of the star" followed by a painting workshop with the artist Emmanuelle Marquis at the Chaplaincy Saint-Gilles. Show in free access. Reservation required for the workshop.
