In the heart of the Arsenal de Colbert, discover the Corderie Royale built in 1666 by order of Louis XIV. For two centuries, the Corderie Royale manufactured ropes for the tall ships of the Royal Navy.

At the start of the visit, an immersive show immerses you in the history of the Corderie Royale.
Through workshops and interactive experiences, (re)discover the primary function of the building, that of transforming matter through its different stages: spinning, laying and seamanship.
Tactile manipulations, image projection, edutainment terminals, interactive games, optical theatre... A series of experiences awaits you to understand the history of ropemaking.
