It is a light and burlesque story. There are delirious characters like the son of the King of Vermicelli, a manicurist leaving for a sham wedding in London, a hairdresser dreaming of becoming a music hall star, a servant standing for election in the 16th arrondissement, a fake English lady and a working-class woman looking for a job (a character played at creation by Arletty)…

Written during the Roaring Twenties by Maurice Yvain, this work is one of the first operettas to introduce jazz, announcing contemporary musical comedies, thus playing with rhythms of swing, ragtime piano, foxtrot and a few waltzes. Playful and lively piece in these gloomy times, do not hesitate to say "YES" and come and encourage the singers for this premiere.
