The site of La Roche à Pierrot is a world-famous archaeological site, which in 1979 delivered the remains of a Neanderthal skeleton, subsequently named Pierrette.
Every year since the resumption of excavations in 2013, the team of archaeologists, led by Isabelle Crevecoeur (paleoanthropologist, Research Fellow at CNRS, UMR 5199, Bordeaux), has been present on the site of La Roche à Pierrot au for a new campaign of archaeological excavations.
