Come and discover the hidden secrets of the Gallo-Roman villa in Saint-Saturnin-du-Bois!

The Gallo-Roman villa, located in the heart of the village, emerges from the ground and gradually reveals its history. From 2011 to 2021, the site was excavated every summer by archaeologists and revealed unexpected treasures, both in terms of knowledge and in terms of archaeological finds.
Thanks to an educational presentation of the site and the rich and varied activities, offered each season, you will be able to unravel the mysteries of archeology and its trades. The history of the site will be told to you, from the circumstances of its discovery in 2007, to the excavation site as it exists today. The guides on site will share with you, exclusively, all the information that this exceptional site has delivered and continues to deliver, both on its own history and on the way of life of our ancestors.
For the twelfth consecutive year, we invite you to join the adventure: self-guided tours and interpretation trails, guided tours, fun workshops, shows and aperitif-excavations, European Archeology Days, European Heritage Days, etc.
