About twenty kilometers from Surgères, the Rochefort ice rink will welcome young and old from November 30, 2024 to January 5, 2025. On the Marais Poitevin side, toboggan runs will be available in Niort, Place de la Brèche from November 30 to January 5, 2025.

What is the biggest Christmas market nearby?

One of the most famous Christmas markets in the Marais Poitevin is the one in Maillezais, at the foot of the abbey. Every year, dances, entertainment and shows follow one another, with around sixty exhibitors. A pyro-musical show closes the evening.
