The only winemaker in Aunis Marais Poitevin, Dominique Rulier planted his 6,5 hectares of vines in 2013 in the commune of La Devise (formerly Vandré). A former wine region, the town was covered with 280 hectares of vines until the end of the XNUMXth century, before the arrival of phylloxera which ravaged the plantations.
Today, Dominique Rulier is relaunching wine production in Aunis, one of the original cradles of Charente-Maritime vines. After planting and developing the vines, he rehabilitated an old agricultural building to transform it into a modern cellar equipped with machines, barrels and cellars allowing the production of wines and pineaux until bottling. He then created a tasting cellar where you can taste and buy his pineaux (red, white, rosé) and his sulfite-free cocktails as well as rosé wine and the famous Rosa Bull (sparkling rosé) directly at the production site located in Saint Pierre la Noue (between Surgères and Rochefort).
