The Local Counter in Marans
Le Comptoir Local® is located at the corner of Place Ernest Cognacq and Rue d'Aligre. It benefits from good visibility and allows you easy parking on the square. Several services are offered to you: free wifi, a shop promoting local and artisanal products as well as a complete ticket office for local events, entertainment and major sites! You can also buy your fishing license and reserve a tennis court there.

Located at 5 rue Bersot, Le Comptoir Local® is on the busiest pedestrian street in Surgères between the castle park and the market halls. Several services await you inside: a free Wi-Fi area, a shop promoting local and artisanal products, a ticketing service for local events, entertainment and major sites! Discover our exhibition space where every three weeks, a new local artist takes up residence and shares their passion and works with you. Local associations are also highlighted every 15 days in the window.

A shop with the "Accueil vélo" (Cyclist Welcome) label
Le Comptoir Local® in Marans has been awarded the " Accueil Vélo " label. The town of Marans is indeed crossed by two cycle routes, the Vélo Francette and La Vélodyssée.
To make your stay easier, the Tourist Office provides you with specific documentation: route maps, list of bike rental companies and repairers, accommodation suitable for cyclists, etc.
You will also find a repair kit for minor damage (puncture, set of keys, bicycle pump, etc.) as well as the possibility of recharging an electric bicycle. We fill water bottles on request.
The Velodyssey Passport
Le Comptoir Local® in Marans stamps Vélodyssée Passports! For cycle tourists who wish to do so, the Passport must be ordered in advance of your trip.
Local shops with the "Tourism & Disability" label
The local information centers in Surgères and Marans are certified for all four types of disability : motor, intellectual, hearing, and visual. An accessibility guide is available there to help you plan your stay in the area. An Easy-to-Read and Understand (FALC) document can also be obtained there or downloaded online.
In Surgères, parking spaces are reserved at the Place de l'Europe car park, 75 metres from the local counter. The route is via a pedestrian street, on a flat surface with no changes in level.
Equipment is available to facilitate your visit: a hearing loop, a sound amplifier, and large-print and Braille documents. The public restroom is also accessible to people with reduced mobility. Recordings of the tour of Surgères' historic center are available for download online . Visitors with reduced mobility are advised to take the alternative route to fully enjoy the tour.
In Marans, parking spaces are reserved in the Place Ernest Cognacq car park, opposite the town hall gardens, 75 metres from the local counter. On site, you will find a magnetic loop, sound amplifier, large print documents and an MTC (all-terrain module designed by Hervé Mack).
