Come and discover the works “À 4 mains” by Martine MORAND.
Martine's assemblages are timeless objects that link the past and the present by giving a second life to objects that already have a history.
Opening on January 11, 2025 at 11 a.m.
Martine MORAND's assemblages bring together precious materials found in flea markets with other, more raw and less noble materials to show that otherness and complementarity are values necessary for the harmony of the world.
These assemblages are made by 4 hands: Martine rummages, gathers, stages but Alain is there so that the fantasized work becomes reality. He often adds a setting to magnify it and all these creations are born not only from 4 hands but from 2 minds that feed off each other and have found a field to make their complicity manifest.
If we had to put these creations in a box, it would be in that of singular art, of art outside the norms. It is in this family that they were shown, recognized and that they feel good.
Martine and Alain are self-taught, which is the specificity of this family. They have lived together for 40 years and have been creating for 33 years with always the same passion and necessity on common but also personal creations.
