Story: "Matisse or the Lion's Dance" takes children from 18 months old into the world of the painter Henri Matisse through the sensory journey of a little boy. His first cry, his first steps, his first fear, his first encounters—he experiences them all in colors, sensations, and music, traversing galaxies reminiscent of Matisse's paintings: Orientalist paintings with cut-out shapes, vibrant Fauvist colors, variations on the theme of dance…
A dreamlike world, real and imagined, seen through the eyes of a very young child embarking on the great journey of his life. Lighthearted, joyful, just like Matisse…
