This walk allows you to walk along the edge of the forest and discover the burial mounds dating from around 5000 BC.
Departure: from the village of Benon follow the direction of Courçon. At the exit of the forest and before the first buildings, turn right on a small road. The car park is 300 m away.
1. Instead of entering the forest, first take the gravelled track which runs straight past the edge of the wood. Follow the D 100 to the right for 114 m.
2. Before the water tower, turn right on a forest path which crosses the entire forest in a south-westerly direction, crossing numerous tracks.
3. Follow to the right on the edge of the woods a path parallel to the N 11. Before the Benon-Courçon road, take a path that goes through the forest in the direction of Courçon.
